It doesn't take long for their 'hosts' to heed their remarks. The world begins to shift and fade into something else before it washes away in a single instant.
Mere moments later, Emet-Selch awakens with a start in a district far away from where he started. He finds himself at the foot of a great tree looking up at its branches covered in pink petals. The scent of flowers and idle conversation drifts on the wind. All seems peaceful compared to a few moments ago.
Emet-Selch's expression dims. A feeling of panic and sinking dread washes over him as looks to either side and finds himself there alone. That couldn't have been a dream, could it? The sound of his friends voice sounded so convincing and his presence so real...
Then the voice calls for him and he feels such relief. Though he cannot see his friend exactly, he calls back. "Over here." He arches his back and grumbles. "Perhaps our hosts could choose a better place for us to rest next time."
