Hythlodaeus can't help the chuckle.

Either way, as they reach the island Hythlodaeus gratefully crawls up onto land, sitting on the sand and taking a deep breath. The fact that he's even breathing right now... he's smiling wide at the feel of it.

"Ah... thank you for saving me. I confess I wouldn't have assumed there was anything left to save, but that drowning felt awfully genuine."
