[He hums as they swim, a pleasant song. As he gets to the portal he stops though, and pauses in his swimming.]

'Tis down here, just a little way. Not far, else I would have searched for another exit. Are you ready?

[He waits for confirmation before swimming down, and as promised the exit is just below the water's surface. And as they swim through it, suddenly they find themselves on dry land.

Gone are the beautiful adornments that glittered gold on his skin, gone are the scales, and more drastically still he now has legs. He's wearing a full-length robe, his mask balanced precariously on his chest, hair now done up in a side braid. Yet his eyes still glow- that had nothing to do with being a merman.]

Ah! Goodness. Now where are we? Are you all right?
