"We had a responsibility to the star. If something we created was going to have negative effects on the rest of the flora and fauna, it would be erased from the star to preserve what we had. Some creations were unpredictable and violent- we could not let them go free."

He never enjoyed erasing concepts from the star. But he didn't shy away from it, either.

"We gave everything a fair chance. If it could not be salvaged, nobody could say we didn't try."
