Not that Bakugo can read minds or know at all what's going through Hythlodaeus', but there are a few villains who have the same idea as Fandaniel when it comes to their goals, some more widespread and others more personal focused. Dumbing down Shigaraki's intent to that comment is an understatement, but Bakugo doesn't have respect for the villain, period. He has no idea of All for One's past, what drove the man beyond his megalomania and selfish arrogance, nor does he care to understand him enough to find out. What matters is stopping him. Someone else can do the soul searching.
"Not my problem. If they want me to understand them, they should've done it before they attacked." Not that he cared enough to be open to their words back then. Even now, it's a hard sell. "War is always damaging." Hythlodaeus would have no trouble seeing the three noticeable scars on Bakugo's body: two puncture wounds on his left shoulder and lower right abdomen, and a large burst wound in the center of his chest.
me over here looking at all these FF names going "word spaghetti"
