Those were not the words that Yazoo had be expecting to hear next, or even remotely judging by the fraction of a second that the surprised and puzzled frown touched his face before it wanted back to that vaguely bored and unimpressed neutrality he wore by default. He didn't move yet but he looked towards the other from the corner of his eye.
"Excuse me?" The pale creature responded at the odd way Emet-Selch phrased his question. It was possible that it was simply how he addressed others, but that seemed unlikely. Not that the question he'd asked was one that the Remnant had been particularly looking forward to facing either. The whole Amplitheater experience had kept him rather occupied and left him little time to consider his situation overall. Time which he now had and certain inevitable facts were struggling to make themselves known despite his unwillingness to acknowledge them.
"I'm unclear on what you're..." He didn't finish his sentence as some part of him didn't want the man to elaborate himself and it made the words cease upon his tongue as he frowned once more to himself then shrugged lazily with a shake of his head as he returned his gaze back to the world around them. "I don't know yet. I'm undecided. Attempt to return home, I suppose." Yazoo finally said, as he chose to answer the question instead of asking his own, though in doing so he simply left himself with his own question; why?
Why go back? It was quite here, he could take a moment to breathe, and for the first time his head felt truly clear. He had to return though, didn't he?
