yesdoubt: (we'll connect to the future)

[It was several minutes earlier, but Momo knows he can move fast, and he's hoping that shark tail isn't just for show either. The enthusiasm with which his new companion leaps at the opportunity of a lead is reassuring, and Momo twists his tentacles to help turn himself before following in the same direction. It's a very different look carving through the water for Momo - his tentacles fan out and trail behind him, but all the movement work is being done by the glassy-looking bell below his hips. As jellyfish do, it pulses inwards, pushing him forwards, then expands before repeating the movement, giving a slightly more uneven forward movement but one Momo is doing resonably well at smoothing out.

Laughing a little at the phrasing dilemma, he spreads his hands in a broad shrug.]

If we can use the word "kidnapping" for adults, I think we're fine using it for a mermaid too. [Also, he's not sure how well using "fishnapped" would go down with the locals. Or if the princess is actually half-fish and not another kind of sea creature.] But it's hard to tell, just seeing this much. If she's gotten out enough to know the area, she could've found a good enough hiding spot to escape the search parties.

[Or she could've simply run in any direction and gotten in too deep in the more metaphorical sense. But that's a lot more of a troubling thought.] Speaking of the right name for things, though, I don't think I got your name. I'm Momo.

[He punctuates that with a grin and a wink, making a little v-sign over one eye.]
