He's still had his back end draped a bit further down than the rest of his body, though, if even for the sake of not being too shocking.

Now that she's brought it up herself, he flattens himself out a bit more, lifting what's been semi-hidden underwater into clearer view. It's not a more standard merperson arrangement of a regular fish tail - instead, his hips open out into the translucent bell of a jellyfish, with a cloud of frilled, gently twisted tentacles trailing out into the water behind him. The dark pink at the edges matches the frill-like fins on his arms, all the more obvious as his fingers move to highlight the gill-like structures on his neck, partially hidden by the tips of his wet hair.]

After I came out of the bubble, I was turned into this. Definitely made hitting the water less bad than it could've been. [Not that he sounds too concerned either way - his tone remains quite carefree, and there's a grin on his face that says he finds this whole thing more interesting than worrying.

That said, he did have the chance to get over the immediate shock of having a jellyfish for a back-end earlier.] You look more like they've got you in a pirate role. I say role because a lot of the people in here seem to be...well, basically just that. Playing a role.

[It had felt dreamlike to begin with, until Momo had realised it wasn't a dream. Then it started feeling more uncanny, but he's been rolling with it fairly well, because sometimes you just have to play along until you find out what you need.]
