[this makes the second time he's been dunked back into this damn stageplay of a world. the first time at least gave him the familiarity of what's expected, though not as big an information dump as the damn arrival (bastards went looking around his memories like some shitty thief in the night). as the water closes around him, he feels the same crawl across his flesh as whatever power works in this place makes itself known along his body.
and just like that, it's all gone and replaced. clothes, belongings, legs, stripped off and sent away in exchange for more archaic armor in scant places, a dark green tail with hot orange fins, and a shoulder satchel for whatever collects are going on right now. tch... great. if he's not getting decked out in armor, he expects this to be a boring run. best to get the scene over with and move onto something more interesting the next time this place manages to trap him in a water-based plunge.
irritable, but agreeable, he tips forward and swims after the small group of mermen waving for him to follow. it briefly reminds him of when kirishima or kaminari managed to get him to join them in some kind of extracurricular outing. but this time, there's no mall, there's no restaurant, no theater, but rather a sunken wreck... which to merfolk, likely classifies as one of those top-world outings back in his modern time. look, it's not the worst way to spend his time.
it's during that exploration that he swims past a doorway, only to almost snap his neck with how fast his head turns. jerking backwards, tail flinging out in front of him, he hauls his upper body into the doorway's perimeter again, looking through it at the other merman exploring the room. no way... he doesn't want to believe it, but there's no possible way he could miss that shock of red and white hair. divided down the middle, a strong body with light skin, and a matching red-and-white tail resembling a koi fish.
todoroki.
why is he here? how the hell-? were they not content with their current grab?! snarling to himself, he grabs the doorframe with one hand and pulls himself in, leaving a small flurry of bubbles in his wake.]
Hey, Half-n-Half! What the fuck happened? How'd you let yourself get kidnapped?
