[it's not the first damn time he's been pursued by some damn pirates looking to capture a merfolk. for whatever damn reason they want. but it's always the same; they get their fucking asses handed to them! bakugou's mixture of explosions and arms are enough to rip his way out of the weighted net despite getting thrown onto the deck a few seconds ago. he lashes his tail out, sweeping it and a few pirates to the side, then rights himself to rest on his front, arms holding himself up above the deck.
no matter what, the goal's the same: get back into the water! as much as he'd love to put a damn hole in this boat and sink it, bakugou's not a murderer. (if they were undead, well... different story.) but that fellow shout comes from the side and he already knows what's happening. a hard explosion launches him into an arch over the heads of the pirates, missing a lance by a centimeter, and lands back in the water. it only takes a second to find the net dragging up another merman.
